Age 85, of Sanford, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at home. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am, on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Fairgrove. Pastor Penny Parkin to officiate with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 11, 2016, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Davison VFW Post #4087, 9474 Lapeer Rd, Davison Michigan, 48423. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mr. Crosby was born February 5, 1931, in Akron, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Cordon and Mildred (Ross) Crosby. He married Jackie Houghtaling, sadly she preceded him in death in 2015. Frank served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1953, and is a General Motors retiree. He enjoyed all the wildlife Mother Nature has to offer, taking walks in his woods in Sanford, hunting, and fishing. Left to cherish Frank’s memory are his four children: Lori and husband, Dale Miller, Renee and husband, Paul Verbeke, James and wife, Sue Crosby, and Deanna, and husband, Theodore Harbourne; three sisters: Jessie, and husband, Dan Nowland, Mary Ellen and husband, Jack Metiva, and Ruthie Morey; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jackie (Houghtaling) Crosby, son Chad Crosby, sister Maxine Richardson, brother Edward Crosby, and brother-in-law Bernard Morey.
