James Blake

Of Flint, age 69, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Home, cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration will take place 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. James was born October 11, 1944, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Lila (McFatridge) Blake. He owned and operated Reliable Carpet Service. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shooting pool and spoiling his pets. Left to cherish his memory are four children, Michael and wife, Vicki Blake, Heather Cardella, Lance Blake and Stacey and husband, Lawrence Blake; seven grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie and husbnad, Frank Hamilton and June Lynn and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Lalah Bell and many furry friends.
