Age 87, of Genesee, died Saturday, August 15, 2015, peacefully at home. Funeral service will take place Tuesday August 18, 2015, 1:00 pm at Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, from 10:30 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Pastor Jeffery M. Switzer will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Jack was born in Flint Michigan, May 1, 1928, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Harriet (Miller) Taylor. He enjoyed two years in the Navy on the air craft carrier Valley Forge. He and Edna Mozelle Norris were united in marriage on December 21, 1957, in Genesee, Michigan. Jack and Edna co-owned and operated Taylor Steel Company and Taylor Brother's Door Lock Company with their sons. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, he enjoyed listening to and following his son's Jack and Joe’s country band, The Taylor Brother's, spoiling his grandchildren, going out to dinner, cookouts, rummage sales, oil painting and most of all going to work. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Jack Roy Taylor and fiancée, Gabriel Suzanne Gabriel and Joseph Curtis and wife, Dana Marie Taylor; five grandchildren, Kayla, Kerryn, Landen, Jack and AJ; sisters Margaret and Nancy, many nieces; nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna, his parents; five brothers Brooks, Bob, Bill, Dick, Joe and two sisters Mary and Alice. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jack’s caregivers Angela, Judi, Billie, and Joy.
