Iva Pinney

November 23, 1911 — July 19, 2008

Age 96, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at BrianAaas House in Bay City. Iva was born November 23, 1911 in Kingston, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Belle (Bearss) Jaynes. She and John Allan Hunter were united in marriage. He preceded her in death in 1959. Iva later married Gould Pinney in September of 1959. He also preceded her in death in 1995. Iva was a woman who loved her friends and family. She was also very active in church. Iva worked at Caro State Hospital for over 20 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and canning, along with traveling all over the world. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Donna Cramer; step-children, Jean Horner, Gwen Commire and Bruce Pinney; grandchildren, Dennis Becker, John Lenarz, Steve Lenarz, Kim Wilkinson, Kirk Becker and Kristen Nickel; ten step grandchildren, Deborah Hayes, Mark Norton, Bonnie Cooper, Steven Norton, Laura Vasylak, Floyd Horner, Robert Horner, Angela Beasley, Brandon Pinney and Jennifer Pinney; great-grandchildren, Heather, Andrea, Randi, Brian, Jessica, Justin, Blake, Cassidy, Jasper, Brandon, Laura Kate, Donald and Jeremy; step-great-grandchildren, Whitney, Taylor, Sam, Kyle, Matthew, Katie, Garrett, Lena, Joshua, Danielle, Mitchell, Trinette, Christopher, Sabrina, Michael, Allison, Brianna and Heather and great-great grandchildren, Paige, Taylor, Gordon, Drew, Abigayle, Tyler and baby girl, Ruckle. Iva is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nina K. Lenarz; grandson, Larry Becker; step-granddaughter, Kathy Lynn and great-grandson, Danny Becker. Iva was also preceded in death by five brothers. The Funeral Service will take place 10:00am, Tuesday, July, 22, 2008 at the Wisner United Methodist Church in Wisner. Pastor Fredrick Neumann will officiate with a luncheon to follow. Burial will be held at 2:30pm at Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City. IvaAaas family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home - Fairgrove on Monday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. On Tuesday, Iva will be taken to church to lie in state from 9:00am until the time of service at 10:00am. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to BrianAaas House. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
