Irene Tedford Grabowski

Mrs. Irene (Tedford) Grabowski of Vassar died Saturday, October 6, 2006 at Satchellas Christian Retirement Home. \ \ Irene was born February 5, 1916 in Sandusky, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Clara (Johnson) Gates. She and Lester Tedford were united in marriage on March 20, 1934 in Sandusky. He preceded her in death on January 16, 1982. She then married Andrew "Nicka Grabowski on November 8, 1998 in Caro. Irene was a member of the Watrousville United Methodist Church, and the church Needle Club. She enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family. \ \ Irene leaves to cherish her memory: Husband Nick, 6 children: Harley and wife Walla Beth Tedford, Shirley and husband Dell Willson, Gordon and wife Donna Tedford, Donald Tedford, Keith and wife Shirley Tedford, and Marilyn and husband Justin Campbell, stepson Paul and wife Cappy Grabowski, 17 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren, and her brother Harold Gates. \ \ Her parents, husband Lester, son Gerald, son in law Ray German, grandson Michael and 2 sisters preceded Irene in death.\ \ Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Martin Funeral Home Vassar Chapel. Pastor Michele Hile officiating with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Ireneas family will be present at the Martin Funeral Home Vassar to receive friends on Monday from 3:00pm to 9:00pm, and on Tuesday from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial donations may be considered to the Watrousville United Methodist Church.\
