SOVA, Irene Rose Ann age 85 of Vassar went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at her home. Irene was born February 14, 1922 in Reese the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. and Barbara A (Pickelman) Weber. She and Allen Petty were united in marriage in December 1939, he preceded her in death. She and Albert J Sova were united in marriage in November 1970, he preceded her in death in 2001. She worked as a Machinist at Vassar Manufacturing for 22 years. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church where she participated in the choir, and Ladies Aid, she had her own card and prayer ministry, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. \ \ Irene leaves to cherish her memory 3 children: Sandra and husband Walter Keyes, Dick Petty, and Barb Reinert, 10 grandchildren Scott and wife Karen Keyes, Lori Morris, Steven and wife Becky Keyes, Renae and husband Don Hull, Kelly and husband Vernon Southmayd, Mark and wife Kim Petty, Cindi and husband Tom Wilinski, Ryan Petty, Cara Lemmen, and Scott and wife Debbie Lemmen, Sue Petty, 22 great grandchildren, brother Roy Weber, sister Dorothy LaFond, many special nieces and nephews, Cheboygan Family and Friends, St. Luke's Lutheran Church Family, Spruce Street Neighbors, and many special friends. \ \ She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands, Allen and Albert, son in law Chip Reinert, 3 brothers Wilmer, Harold, and Clarence, and 2 sisters Amanda and Hilma. \ \ Funeral service will be Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 11:00am, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Vassar, Pastor James W. Naumann officiating with burial in Blumfield Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar on Friday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm, with a Family Life Celebration to be held at 7:00pm. On Saturday morning, Irene will be taken to church where she will lie in state from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial donations may be considered to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, envelopes are available at the funeral home and at the church. \
