ILENE GAUTHIER Of Clio, age 87, died Monday, August 2, 2010 at BrianAaas House Hospice. The funeral mass will take place, at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Saints Charles & Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Rev. Fr. Gerald Ploof will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday. On Thursday morning Ilene will be taken to church where friends may call from 9:00AM until time of service. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Ilene was born July 20, 1923 in Alpena, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Capron and Laura (Kitter) Tacia. She and Joseph Gauthier were united in marriage in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1999. She enjoyed cooking, knitting lap blankets to donate to senior charities, puzzles and loved being a homemaker. Surviving are her children, Dennis and wife Lynn Gauthier of Flushing, Judy and husband Tom Howard of Hale, Roger and wife Michelle Gauthier of Clio and Duane and Karen Gauthier of Flushing. Grandchildren, Jennifer Long, Thomas Howard, Jeremy Gauthier, Sarah Redick, Kimberly Smith, Matthew Gauthier, Jason Gauthier, Katie Gauthier and Mary Gauthier. Great Grandchildren, Harrisen Smith, Charles Smith, Jackson Gauthier, Kayla Mitchell, Andrew Howard, Collin Howard, Jillian Redick, Cassandra Howard, Alexandra Gauthier, Gracelynn Gauthier, Brady Gauthier. Brother and sister, Floyd Tacia of Hubbard Lake and Evagene Thompson of Alpena. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Gauthier and brother, Howard Tacia.
