January 24, 1930 — June 9, 2009

Of Flint, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. The funeral service will take place 2:00 PM Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Trinity Assembly of God in Mt. Morris. Pastors Bill Christensen, Larry Alverson, Carl Halquist and Gary Cech will officiate with burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 2:00pm until 9:00pm Thursday. On Friday Mr. Robbins will be taken to church to lie in state where friends may call from 1:00pm until time of service at 2:00pm. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to Trinity Assembly of God Church or Genesee Lions. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Hugh was born January 24, 1930 in Caro, MI the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Grace (Dean) Robbins. He and Jacqueline G. Ross were united in marriage August 4, 1955 in Angola, Indiana. He worked at General Motors AaA"Chevy in the HoleAaA for 37 1/2 years. Hugh was a member of Flushing VFW Post 5666, Genesee Lions Club and Trinity Assembly of God Church for over 40 years. He enjoyed, feeding birds, gardening, working in the yard, fishing and spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline Robbins of Flint, MI; children, Nora and Sam Zambori of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, Tom and Brenda Konikowski of Taylor, MI, Chuck and Pam Robbins of Capac, MI, Hugh, Jr. and Cathy Robbins of Crawfordsville, IN and Robert and Christina Robbins of Flint, MI; 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bill Bridges and granddaughter, Charity Stevens.
