Honora Mary Homans\ Age 92 of Mt. Morris, died Thursday, February 01, 2007 at the Maplewoods Manor in Clio, Michigan. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris, Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau officiating with burial following in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris where the Parish and family will also pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Honoraas family will meet at the funeral home Saturday prior to the service for private prayers and then proceed to the church for the service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be considered to the St. Mary Catholic School. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.\ \ Honora was born August 15, 1914 in St. Charles, Michigan the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Alexander and Ann (Smith) Fairless. She and Ewan Homans were united in marriage on August 17, 1935 at St. Matthewas Catholic Church in Flint. He preceded her in death in April of 1979. Honora was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris and the Altar Society. She also was a member of the Legion of Mary, the Mothers Service Club, helped organize the first Cub Scout Pack in Mt. Morris, and was a Girl Scout Leader for eight years. Honora loved to read, knit, sew and walked everywhere.\ \ Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Alice Martin of Mt. Morris; six grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Larry Lince of Clio, Barbara and husband Del Crane of Montrose, Michele and husband Larry Woods of Clio, John and wife Holly Homans of Davison, Michael Martin of Flint, and Patrick Martin of Davison; five great grandchildren, Gina and husband Jason Hodgins, Steven Lince, Kyle Woods, Trent Woods, Brooke Homans, Maverick Homans, and "Bellaa; daughter-in-law, Clara Homans of Mt. Morris; son-in-law David Martin of Davison; sister-in-law Della Fairless of Flint; several nieces and nephews; special friends, the Jack Arnold family, the Ward Clark family, Scott Clark, and Peggy "Cricketa Kronick. \ \ Honora was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son E. John Homans; two brothers, Francis and John Fairless; two sisters, Catherine Gouin and Mildred Erdman; and special friends, Clare Corcoran and Norma Hering.\ \
