Of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Genesee and Mt Morris, age 97, died Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Homer was born September 28, 1917 in Breckenridge, MI. to Homer & Hazel Kenyon. Homer & Winifred Gamble were united in marriage January 20, 1940 and had four children. Becky, Peggy, Butch and Jeanne. Homer was the developer/owner of Kenyon Specialties Co, a capsule business, and the developer/owner of The Highlands Mobile Home Park on E. Mt. Morris Rd. in Mt. Morris. Homer sold this business in 1994 and retired to Clermont, FL. Homer was welcomed into Heaven by his beloved wife, Winifred, and loving daughter, Becky Diment. Homer was also preceded in death by his parents, Homer & Hazel Kenyon, two sisters, Jeanetha Brock and Alice Shamel and brother, Ward Kenyon. Left to cherish his memory are his two brothers, Carlton and Donn Kenyon his children, Terry Diment, Peggy & Norm Duford, Butch & Marlene Kenyon and Jeanne Kenyon; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Friday, March 27th, 2015 at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Terry J. Diment [son-in-law] will officiate and also the burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Homer’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 26th from 2pm - 8pm In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Cornerstone Hospice.
