Hildreth Lockwood

June 12, 1921 — July 17, 2012

Of Mt. Morris, age 91, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at home. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 11:00 am, Friday, July 20, 2012, at the Mt. Morris Community Church in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dwight Wymer will officiate. Private burial will be held at a later date at the Mt. Morris Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Mt. Morris Community Church on Friday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Mt. Morris Community Church. Envelopes are available at the church. Hildreth was born June 12, 1921, in Mt. Morris, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard and Viva (Thrasher) Keyes. She has resided in Mt. Morris and Clio her entire life. She and Roger Lockwood were united in marriage October 30, 1964. Hildreth was a Charter Member of the First Baptist Church of Clio, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, and was President of the Ladies Missionary Society. She was currently a member of the Mt. Morris Community Church, where she was actively involved with the Wednesday Afternoon Ladies Bible Study. Left to cherish her memory husband, Roger; four sons, Mark and wife, Paulette Wymer, Paul and wife, Linda Wymer, Dwight and wife, Vivian Wymer, and Todd Wymer; five step children, Sharon Dotson, Donald Lockwood, Rick Lockwood, Roger Lockwood, and Robin Schultz; 12 grandchildren; many step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several neices, nephews and friends. Hildreth was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Viva Keyes; brother, Reginald Keyes and sister, Gwendolyn Trimble.
