Helen Rohner

Of Mt. Morris, died Monday, December 10, 2012, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida. Per Helen's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Helen's life will be held on May 4, 2013, at the White Oaks Estate Community Hall in Mt. Morris at 11:00 am. If desired, memorial donations may be directed to the Mt. Morris First United Methodist Church or the Charity of One's Choice. Helen was born June 25, 1932, in West Branch, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Belva (Gillies) Gingell. She and John Rohner were united in marriage March 28, 1981. Helen retired from Mott Community College, as head of the Circulation Department, with 25 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, golfing, dancing, playing cards and playing shuffle board. Helen was an avid Tigers fan, who attended all the games in Lakeland, while enjoying her winter home. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John; children, Chari Turner, Connie and husband Larry LaForest, Larry and wife Diane Rohner, Richard Rohner, and Linda Moreau; 14 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; sister, Ruth Gingell and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, John Gingell.
