Helen Mary Burt

Age 97, of Mt. Morris, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 25, 2024. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Helen’s tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.

Helen was born on December 2, 1926, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Veronica Gan. Helen met and married the love of her life, Harold, in March of 1946. Unfortunately, he preceded her in passing. She was a proud member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoyed playing the slot machines at Soaring and Saganing Eagles, playing bingo, and filling her garden with beautiful flowers. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter: Sheryl DeKruger, her son: Greg Burt, her grandchildren: Cindy, Jeff, Brian, Kristy, Jimmy, Erik, Tim, and Lance, her eight great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her son, as well as her siblings: Stella and Ted.
