Helen Blake

Age 78 of Mt. Morris, passed away peacefully, July 17, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. A funeral service will take place at 4:00pm, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Pastor Larry Servance to officiate. Helen’s family will be present to receive friends from 11:00am until the time of service at 4:00pm. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Helen’s tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.

Helen was born in Flint on September 27, 1945, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald and Helen (Tonnacliff) Fuller. Educated locally, Helen graduated in 1964. Soon after graduation, Helen began working as an owner/receptionist for Louie’s Towing in Mt. Morris, answering calls throughout the day and night, as well as worked as the school receptionist for Beecher High School. Helen was a wonderful, patient, tolerant, proud mother and raised three amazing children. They were her pride and joy. Helen was a very talented woman and enjoyed many activities including, water skiing, gymnastics, softball, and was in the CANUSA games for the longest softball throw. Helen loved to laugh and was well-known for her wonderful sense of humor. She was amazing at cooking and baking and made the best chili around. In her free time, Helen enjoyed arts and crafts, music, and dancing. She was a great friend to others and was a beautiful loving soul who will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish Helen’s memory are her children: Ron Jr, and wife, Julie Blake, Christy Smith, Tim and wife, Michelle Blake; grandchildren: Kirstin, Tony and wife, Andrea, Crystal, Caitlyn, Brennan, Kamryn; great-grandchildren: Hailey, Allison, Mason, Maverick, McKinley, Ethan, Riley, Dawson; beloved grand dog, Lilly; siblings: Marsha Bryan, Jerry and wife, Annette Fuller; dear friends: Denise Rozen, Kathy DeVary, Jeri Henry; the Louie's crew; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Alan Fuller; and her beloved dog, Mugsy.
