Age 81, of Vassar, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021, at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital. In accordance with Gordon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Gordon’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com Gordon was born in Flint on March 2, 1940, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edward and Rosetta Louise (Loper) Woodhull, Sr. On June 25, 1960, in a little church on Barnes Rd in Millington, he was married to the love of his life, Sharon Servis. Their union would be blessed with three beautiful daughters. Gordon worked for General Motors as a machine setter for 30 years, from 1966 until his retirement in 1996. Gordon owned and operated the Country Cafe in Vassar until its closing. He was a member of the Krump Fox Club. Spending time playing Euchre and Cribbage with the guys was one of his favorite pastimes. Gordon loved to travel and could often be found at a casino. He loved his grandchildren and he enjoyed attending their sporting events and playing Sorry! with them. Gordon had a passion for finding the closest off-road trail and driving for miles. He would start in Millington and has been known to end up in Roscommon. In his free time, Gordon enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping all over Michigan, and spending time with his family. Left to cherish Gordon’s memory is his loving wife of 61 years, Sharon Woodhull; daughters: Deborah and husband, David Sleeper, Brenda Woodhull and significant other, Bill Dege, Linda and husband, Brad Gray; grandchildren: Justin Gray and Tyler Gray; sister, Thelma Kirtley; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Ralph II, Orville, and Kenneth.
