Geraldine Simek

Of Beaverton, age 86, died Monday, August 22, 2011 at Mid Michigan Medical Center. The graveside service will take place 11:00 am, Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Flint Memorial Park in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Geraldine was born December 12, 1924 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Minnie (Jurdan) Troupe. She and John Simek were united in marriage on July 4, 1959. Geraldine was a member of the Flushing Moose AUX #1874. She was always there for anybody who needed anything; Geraldine will be greatly missed. Geraldine leaves to cherish her memory, daugther, Patricia Brewer; son, Richard and wife, Valerie Noll, Sr.; five grandchildren, David, Kristina, Richard, Johnathan, and Jeremy; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 44 years, John; seven brothers; one sister; son-in-law, Gerald Brewer; and guard dog, Brandy.
