George Laframboise

December 26, 1928 — January 27, 2011

Of Gladwin, age 82, died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at home. The funeral service will take place 4:00pm, Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning will officiate with cremation to follow. LarryAaas family will be present at the funeral home on Friday, from 2:00pm until time of service at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, National Parkinson Foundation or to Genesys Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. George "Larry" was born December 26, 1928 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick and Margaret (Niece) LaFramboise. He and Barbara Poma were united in marriage June 27, 1953. She preceded him in death January 30, 2010. Larry served in the United States Army for two years prior to receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1952. Larry worked for General Motors, retiring in March 1, 1993 and was a member of UAW Local #599. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, loved having a huge garden, kept a beautiful yard, hunting, golfing and watching the Detroit Tigers. Larry leaves to cherish his memory, six of his seven children; Linda and husband Terry Lukens, Sandra and husband Louis Cayet, Kimberly and husband Larry Gauthier, Debra LaFramboise, Laurie and husband Wayne Russell, Lisa LaFramboise and finacee Mike Kranak; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, nephew, Larry and wife Pat LaFramboise and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara, son, Christopher and daughter-in-law, Beth, two brothers; Tony and Fred and two sisters; Eudoxie and Alma.
