Gene Dembowske

of Vassar, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at his residence. Gene was born February 7, 1946 in Cass City, Michigan the son of Ernest and Madelyn (Colling) Dembowski. Gene met and married Denise Millikin on November 25, 1982. He retired with 33 years at Delphi Steering Systems, he was a member of UAW 699. Gene enjoyed fishing, farming and boating.\ \ Gene will be cherished in memory by: his wife: Denise Dembowske, his two sons: Jeremy Dembowske and Gregg Dembowske, and two daughters: Kelly and Stacy, his mother and step-father: Madelyn and Leroy Metiva, mother and father-in-law: Clarence and Jane Millikin, stepmother: Mary Schuette. Surviving are brothers: Lynn and Tim Dembowske, sister, Jan and husband Dave Vollmar, and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.\ \ Gene was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Dembowskeiand son, Kirk.\ \ Services will take place 11:00am, Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar with Rev. Mary Edgington officiating. The family will be present to receive friends from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home and also from 10:00am until the time of service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family fund, envelopes are available at the funeral home.\
