Gary Slattery

Of Cadillac, age 61, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at his son's residence. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will present to receive friends on Friday from 1:00pm until 9:00pm. On Friday evening, family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray a Scriptural Rosary at 6:00pm. On Saturday Gary will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those that desire may direct memorial contributions to the Veterans Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.\ \ Gary was born July 24, 1946 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill and Clare (Owens) Slattery. Gary proudly served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam War, serving two tours.\ \ Those left to cherish his memory are his 3 children Jo Anna Bernal, Linda Tanner, John Slattery, 5 grandchildren, siblings; Shannon, Colleen, Carl, Kathy, Peggy, Terry and their respective spouses, special friends Larry Winterlee, (Uncle) Dan Corcoran, Tom Gallagher, many nieces, nephews and relatives.\
