Educated locally, Gary graduated from Millington High School with the Class of 1972. After high school, Gary began his career in the automotive industry, working at General Motors for 33 years until his retirement in 2009. In 1984, Gary met and began dating Cynthia Adamski. The two were united in marriage at the Davison Full Gospel Church on June 6, 1987. Gary loved the outdoors, going to his parent's cabin in Oscoda was a favorite pastime. Gary enjoyed deer, rabbit, coon, and pheasant hunting. The Au Sable River, Holloway Reservoir, and the Saginaw River are where you could find Gary fishing at different times of the year. Spending time with the kids always puts a smile on Gary’s face, especially taking them bowling. During trips to the casino, Gary would play poker or get stuck at the slot machines, knowing he’d win. Always having fun, Gary carried that into his work life as well, on lunch he would set up Dominoes and sometimes the intense lunch break lasted up to 4 hours. Gary loved being around and spending time with his family.
