Frederick Merchant

Of Flint, age 80, died Saturday, September 14, 2013, at home. The funeral service will take place, Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Brad Richardson will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Frederick was born July 3, 1933, in Marysville, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick and Helen (Marusa) Merchant. He and Charlene Smith were united in marriage August 20, 1966. He enjoyed fishing and photography. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Charlene; many sisters-and brothers -in-law; and many nieces; nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the Bethany Baptist Church for their support and prayers. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Deloris Merchant.
