Fred Olchawa

Of Clio, age 64, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at McLaren Hospital. The funeral service will take place 4:00pm, Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mount Morris. Rev. Young Kwon will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Loved ones will be greeted on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of service at 4:00pm. \ \ Fred was born April 23, 1943 in Flint, the son of Mr. Fred, Sr. and Mrs. Shirley (Jones) Olchawa. He and Myong Cha Ku were united in marriage March 21, 1967 in Korea; she preceded him in death on June 26, 2006. Fred served in the U.S. Army where he reached the rank of E-4, after serving his country he was employed at GM-Buick, retiring after 35 years service. He was a member of the Flint Pigeon Club and the UAW 599. \ \ He is survived by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his his parents and wife of 39 years,Myong Cha Olchawa.\
