Of Vassar, age 89, died Monday, January 7, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center - Harrison. The funeral service will take place Friday, January 11, 2013, at 12:00pm, at the Martin Funeral Home - Fairgrove. Pastor Richard Lawther will officiate with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Frank's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30 am until time of service at 12:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to a charity of your choice. Frank was born September 7, 1923, in Wyndotte, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Barbara (Kukoriczas) Erdody. He and Rose Humpert were united in marriage September 12, 1953 in Cass City. Frank proudly served in the United States Army during WWII for 2 years before receiving his honorable discharge and was a member of VFW Post #7486. Frank was a farmer for most of his life, he also worked for the Eaton Foundry in Vassar for 9 years and the Sugar Beet Factory in Caro for 8 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Rose; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings.
