Francis Trigger

October 10, 1925 — August 13, 2009

Of Mt. Morris, age 83, died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris; with burial to follow in Mt. Morris Cemetery. FrancisAaas family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the charity of your choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Francis "Buck" was born October 10, 1925 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. William and Mary (Krause) Trigger. He and Betty Lou Trigger were united in marriage October 25, 1947. Betty Lou preceded him in death on October 24, 1996. Francis was a Mt. Morris Township Firefighter from 1948-1972, until he was promoted to the Firechief of Mt. Morris Township. He proudly served Mt. Morris Township as the Firechief until 2004. Francis worked for Buick as an Electrician until he retired in 1991, and was a member of UAW Local #599. He also served on the Mt. Morris Township Board for several years. He leaves to cherish his memory are his children; Loran Trigger, Linda Trigger, Mary and husband Clare Hatfield, three grandchildren, Rhonda and husband John Torres, Ryan Trigger and Rachel Hatfield; three great-grandchildren, Loran Trigger, Sabrina and Tyler Torres; four sisters, Dorothy (Raymond) Wilson, Thelma, Mary Ann and Phyllis (Donald) Ellis; brother, Norbert; several nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Janet Wiecjorek and Dione Martinez. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Lou; three brothers, James, Robert and Frank; sister, Joan.
