Age 94, passed away on February 11, 2017, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw. He was born in Saginaw, the son of the late Thomas and Myra (Livingston) Anthony. He served in the Army as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He retired from General Motors, as a Millwright in 1977. He loved flying his own plane, boating, hunting and fishing. He was very musical playing the piano, organ, guitar, banjo and mandolin. He was united in marriage to Evelyn (Parsons) Malloy in 1950. She preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Letha (Lint) Anthony of 40 years. Also surviving him are three daughters, Penny (Ivan) Young, Ann (Larry) Miller, Denise Berry, stepson Rick (Nancy) Weage, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Miriam Smith, Kathleen Jansen, and Patricia Withers: two brothers Kenneth Richard Anthony and Thomas Anthony: one son Jan Malloy and a grandson: James Martin. In accordance with Francis’ wishes, cremation has taken place. A family remembrance will be held at a later date with his nephew, Mike Parson, officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Vassar.
