Age 64, of Fairgrove, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Medi-Lodge in Cass City. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place at a later date. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in Foster’s memory to the Tahquamenon Logging Museum. Mr. Findlay was born March 28, 1952 in Saginaw to the late Mr. & Mrs. Foster Clark and Louise (Peart) Findlay. His father was a truck driver and his mother worked at Saginaw Steering Gear Plant 2, during World War II. Foster retired from General Motors in Saginaw in 2000 where he worked on the assembly line. As a young man, Foster grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in Dollarville and loved to ride horses. He was also a lover of the game of baseball and would often be found at baseball games in his spare time. Foster also enjoyed hunting and fishing on the Tahquamenon River, traveling to Alaska, and shooting pool on his local pool league. Left to cherish his memory ar his two children: Christine (Findlay) and husband, Bret Bean, and Foster Findlay III and wife, Melissa; four grandchildren: Charles Klass, Emily Schaub, Olivia Findlay, and Alexandra Findlay; two sisters: Linda and husband, John Harju, and Debbie Rousseau; step-father, Gus Walker; three step brothers: Ed Walker, Tim Walker, and Jerry Walker; several nieces, nephews, and special friends. Foster was preceded in death by his parents, and beloved nephew, Michael Harju.
