Florence Fishell

Of Flint, age 89, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at her home. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Monday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to the Eastside Senior Center in Flint. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Florence was born April 7, 1920 in Millington, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben and Flora (Kester) Green. She volunteered for TOPS Chapter #1606 and the Eastside Senior Center. Florence leaves to cherish her memory her children, Eldon and wife, Linda, Robert and wife, Nancy, Alice and husband, Martin Slovak, Peggy and husband, James Davis, Bonny and husband, Kevin Phipps; siblings, Beulah Dykes, Glenn Green, Leon Green; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; extended family, Carol and son, Billy Wichert. She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; son-in-law, Gregory Vander Kuur; grandson, Jonathan Gilko; great-granddaughter, Kara-Lyn Schiller.
