Eugene Cansler

Of Clio, age 63, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center, as a result of an automobile accident. The funeral service will take place, Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Don Frey will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park with graveside military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #158. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursday from 10:00am to 2:00pm and 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be considered to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Gene was born September 23, 1946 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. George and Alice (Tuck) Gregory. Gene worked for Buick Motor Divison for over 30 years. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps. Gene leaves to cherish his memory daughter Cynthia (Cansler) and husband David Waldrup, three sons, Corey Hart, Adam and wife Tiffani Hart, and Matthew Hart, three grandchildren, Danielle, Jacob, and Rylie, sisters, Colleen Ross, Marsha Mosley, Joann Kidle, and Linda Spears, brothers, Jerry (Gregory) Yates, Robert (Gregory) Kuhen, and Rick Gardener, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons James and David Cansler and nine siblings.
