Vuncannon, Ernest P. "Erniea Of Clio, age 77, died Sunday, February 11, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 11:00am, Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Rev. Roger Gedke will officiate with cremation to follow. The family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm and Tuesday from 10:00am to 1:00pm and again from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. On Tuesday evening there will be a Masonic Memorial Service conducted under the auspices of the Flint Masonic Lodge #23 F. & A. M. at 7:00pm followed by an Eagles Memorial Service conducted by the Clio Eagles Aerie #3609. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the charity of their choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ernest was born June 16, 1929 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Mona (Doyle) Vuncannon. After graduating from Northern High School he served in the US Army as a tank transport driver in Germany from 1950 to his honorable discharge in1952. Shortly after his return to Michigan he and Maxine Frazier were united in marriage January 10, 1953 in Mt. Morris. Ernest owned and operated Trio Automotive for many years. He was a member of the Clio Eagles Aerie #3609, the Flint Masonic Lodge #23 F. & A. M., the Elf Khurafeh Shriners, the Oasis Shrine Club and the Bay City Consistory. He enjoyed auto racing, fishing, listening to his police radio and his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years: Maxine, son: Paul E. Vuncannon, two grandchildren: Robert Scott, Jr. and Brittany Vuncannon, sister: Roberta Julian, brother-in-law: Stanley Van Wormer, and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Robert Scott, Sr. and Stephen, sister, Beverly Van Wormer and a brother-in-law: James Julian.
