KULIG, Ellen Lea Of Mt. Morris, age 91, died Monday, September 19, 2011, at Hurley Medical Center; cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place, 11:00am, Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church of Flint, Rev. Steven Bailey officiating. Private burial will take place at the Mt. Morris Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the First Presbyterian Church in Flint, on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, from 9:30am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Humane Society of Genesee County. Envelopes are available at the church. Ellen was born March 21, 1920 in Rock Island , Illinois the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Deforest and Gladys (Pierce) Spinsby. She and Alexander Kulig were united in marriage in 1947 in Flint, he preceded her in death on May 13, 1994. She worked for the American Red Cross as a Social Worker for over 20 years, retiring in 1985. Ellen enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with family and friends. Left to cherish her memory, is her son, Mark, and a number of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alexander and son, John.
