Elizabeth Shirley (McKellar) Nachbar, age 72, of Mt. Morris, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018, at McLaren Flint. In accordance with Elizabeth's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at the Mt. Morris Library. The family will receive friends at the Library on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Elizabeth was born in Flint, Michigan, on April 12, 1946, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Blanche (Lockwood) McKellar. She graduated from Clio High School. Elizabeth went on to attend Mott Community College to earn her degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for the State of Michigan working for over 20 years. Elizabeth devoted her personal and professional life to caring for others. She loved gardening and loved to learn and share many types of crafts. She loved to continue to learn new ideas. She was truly an angel among us, and she loved to make people smile whether it was a tender shoulder to cry on, a loving ear to listen, or a gentle guiding hand. She had the heart to handle it all at once. She will be missed by many. Proverbs 3:15 “She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.” Left to cherish her memory are her two children: Dean and wife, Cathy Nachbar of Auburn, Washington, and Bethany Nachbar of Flint, Michigan; three grandchildren: Garrett Nachbar of Lakewood, Washington, Hailey Casey of Puyallup, Washington, and Austin Nachbar of Auburn, Washington; seven siblings: Ron McKellar Sr. of Swartz Creek, Michigan, Raymond McKellar of Clio, Michigan, Stanley McKellar of Clio, Michigan, Larry McKellar of Jackson, Michigan, Dorothea Galantay of Longview, Texas, and Norma McKellar of Mt. Morris, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Doris Hammel of Chelsea, Michigan
