Elizabeth Jaynes

Of Vassar, age 87, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Brians House. The funeral service will take place 10:00am, Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Martin Funeral Home - Vassar. Pastor David Wermuth will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00pm until 8:00pm and on Monday from 9:00am until time of service at 10:00am. Elizabeth was born August 23, 1921 in Vassar, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy and Erma (Barkley) Baxter. She and Claud Jaynes were united in marriage July 8, 1950. She leaves to cherish her memory husband, Claud; son, Kenneth R. and wife, Sally J.; 5 grandchildren, Kyle, Katie, Timothy, Teresa and Peter; 3 great-grandchildren, Austin, Tate and Logan; 2 brothers, James and Noah; sister, Sari; several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Patricia L. Nowak.
