Eileen Halpin

September 5, 1929 — November 13, 2009

Of Mt. Morris, passed away quietly from the loving arms of her family into the embrace of the Lord on November 13, 2009. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Thursday, November 19, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with cremation to follow. EileenAaas family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and again from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. On Wednesday evening, family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home for a Scripture Service at 6:00pm. On Thursday morning, Eileen will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Eileen was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris for over 50 years where she sang in the choir and spent numerous hours as a volunteer. She dedicated much of her life giving to others through various charitable organizations. She thrived on being a positive influence in the lives of others and treasured making memories with her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Jerry Halpin, Tom Halpin, Sue Boegner and Melanie (Fred) Molina. Eileen was the dear grandmother of Nathan and Jeremy Halpin, Carrie and Kirk Boegner, Lauren and Aubrey Moore and great-grandmother of Alex Halpin. She was also survived by her dear siblings; Helen (Bill) Hubbs, Dean (Jean) Elleman, sister-in-law, Louise Elleman and special friends, Liz Noe and Joan Newman. Eileen was loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Halpin, brother, Gerald Elleman, and her sister and brother-in-law, Eleanore and Floyd Curtis.
