Edwin F. Komarowski, Sr., age 93, of Mt. Morris, Michigan, passed peacefully at his home on August 5, 2012. Services will take place 11:00 am, Friday, August 10, 2012, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, with military honors conducted by American Legion Post #158. Edwin was born September 5, 1918, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Martha Komarowski. He and his loving wife, of many years, Irene, came to Flint in 1960. Edwin was very proud of his Polish heritage. He was employed by the U.S. Government and worked for General Service Administration. He was an honored World War II Veteran in the U.S. Army. He was a member of P.L.A.V. (Polish Legion of American Veterans). He also was a member of Fitness U.S.A. for many years, where he made friends that he cherished. He was also a big Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed going to the Soaring Eagle Casino. He had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Irene in 1985 and daughters, Lucille in the early 1990's and Cynthia in 2008. He will sadly missed by his son, Edwin, Jr.--everyone knew how special they were to each other. Special thanks to Dr. Paasad Kommareddi, his staff and Genesys Hospice for their loving care. In his final days, a special thank you to granddaughter, Jennifer Komarowski for the special attention she gave her #1 Dzia-Dzia.
