August 12, 1924 — August 2, 2012

Of Genesee, age 87, died Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. Joe was born August 12, 1924, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Mary (Rulapaugh) Wilson. He and Ann Drudge were united in marriage October 22, 2000. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was sent to NY for special training and then on to San Francisco, where his journey aboard ship began. Joe was stationed aboard the flag ship in Okinawa, among officers and members of the US Navy and Marine Corps. Joe worked for Fisher II for 32 years, retiring in 1975 and was proud of the fact that he was retired more years then he worked! He belonged to the UAW #598. He was such a gifted man and during his life he had enjoyed playing softball and hockey, woodworking and gardening. He enjoyed road trips, but especially spending time with his family, who he proudly considered his friends also. He was always there if you needed help. Left to cherish his memory is wife Ann; four children, Colleen Kincaid, of Saginaw, MI, Sue (Terry) Blayre-White, of Cheyenne, WY, Edward Wilson of Genesee, MI, Fred Wilson, of Gillette, WY; step children, Dawn (Randy) Mondeau, of Flint, MI, Michael (Debbie) Drudge, of Swartz Creek, MI, Kelly (Anthony) Newsome, of Flint, MI, and Michele (Richard) Johnson, of Burton, MI; 12 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Viva; three infant children; and grandson, Kyle Entreken. A special thanks to all the caring wonderful people on 4 North at Genesys Hospital.
