Age 78, of Clio, died Monday, August 14, 2017, at his home. A celebration in Ed’s honor will take place at 11:00 am, Friday, August 18, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Ed’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and on Friday morning from 10:00 am until the time of funeral at 11:00 am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family in Ed’s honor. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ed was born July 15, 1939, in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Margaret (Horvath) Treso. He was educated locally through Mt. Morris Schools and graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the Class of 1957. His career path would lead him to be a farmer, on their family farm on Dodge Rd. in Clio as well as being a truck driver. Ed worked for Kurtz Gravel Company as a driver for 30 years, prior to his retirement in 2000. He was an antique tractor enthusiast, who could often be found working on his tractors and attending tractor shows around Michigan. Ed was a member of Farm Bureau since he was 18, the Friends of the Octagon Barn and the NRA. Ed also enjoyed reading, history, hunting, and fishing and was an encyclopedia of knowledge on Alaska. He will be truly missed. Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Robert “Bob” and wife Linda Treso, nieces and nephews: Tammy and husband Steve Kirby, Tonya and husband Charles McLeod, Rob Treso and Sara Trzemzalski, great-nieces and nephews: Steven Kirby, Katelyn Kirby, Jacob Kirby and C.J. McLeod and many cousins and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Michael “Mickey.”
