Of Flint, age 72, died Monday, November 5, 2012 at home. Cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Monday, November 19, 2012, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends at St. Mary Catholic Church from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the A Catholic Mass Intention. Envelopes are available at the church. Edward was born August 1, 1940, in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Helen (Patrick) Dubaj. Ed was educated at St. Agnes Catholic High School and Eastern Michigan University, where he was the quaterback. Returning to Flint after college, he worked as a teacher & coach at Sacred Heart. He would go on to coach at the college level as well as in the World Football League. After the merge of WFL with the NFL, he worked as an agent for many players. He was also a coach and owner of the Dallas Diamonds in the WABA. His passion for cooking led him to a second career as a restaurant owner of Damon's in the Orlando area. He would later return to Flint to be closer to his parents and operate a Blimpie Sub Shop. His latest venture was in the planning stages to open Sweet Sue's Barbeque in Grand Blanc. He is survived by his brother Jack and many relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard.
