Age 87, of Vassar, died suddenly Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at home. Per Edna’s wishes, private burial has taken place at Riverside Cemetery in Vassar. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Monday, May 13, 2019, at Vassar First United Methodist Church. Pastor Scott Sherrill will officiate. Edna’s family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be directed to Vassar First United Methodist Church. Edna was born January 3, 1932, in Watrousville, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob and Vera (Miller) Robinson. She and Robert Eastham were united in marriage on July 1, 1951. Edna worked as the Treasurer for the City of Vassar for 30 years, retiring in 1997. Edna also worked as an Avon lady for 20 years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Vassar. In her free time, Edna enjoyed spending time with her family, painting, flower arranging, crafts, traveling to Florida, sewing, and crocheting. Edna was also an active member of multiple Red Hat Society’s throughout Tuscola County, where she was known as Lady Gaga. Edna leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 67 years, Robert; son, Jeff Eastham; and daughters-in-law: Jan Holme-Shaw and Rose Eastham; grandchildren: Robyn and husband John Crump III, John Glenn Eastham, Kortney Eastham Hillary Huebler, Jacob and wife, Crystal Sackman, and Tarah (Sackman) Anson; great-grandchildren: Johnny Crump IV, Cody Sackman, Isabelle Sackman and Jada Sackman, special cousin, more like a sister, Lorraine Johnson; and dear friend, Jackie Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brad Eastham; and grandson, SSG. Justin Jay.
