Duane Gipson

Age 60, of Burton, died suddenly, Saturday, August 10, 2019, at McLaren Flint. The family will be present to receive friends from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Grand Blanc. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Wayne was born on March 22, 1959, in Flint, the son of John and Lorine (Abbey) Gipson. He worked for Tri-County Dry Wall for 32 years. As an avid family man, Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting at his family's property up north and fishing. He also liked country music and he and his family enjoyed season tickets to the concerts at the Clio Amphitheater for many years. When not taking time with work or with his family, he could be found tinkering in his garage, around his yard or watching "his" Detroit Pistons. He will truly be missed. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Annette; sons: Matthew and wife, Kendra Gipson, Nathaniel Henke, Duane Gipson, Jr. and fiancée, Ariel Ingram, and Joshua Gipson; grandchildren: Brooklynn, Ma-Kiah, Hailee, Liam, and Preston; brothers and sisters: Drew and wife, Jeanne Gipson, Anita and husband, Kerry Biocchi, and Renee Snider; mother-in-law, Linda Olds, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Leroy Dowdy, sister, Venida McKee, and a brother, Robert Gipson .
