Dorothy Dinse

March 21, 1930 — September 24, 2009

Of Genesee, age 79, died Thursday, September 24, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Monday, September 28, 2009 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. DorothyAaas family will receive friends Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 12:00noon to 8:00pm. Sunday evening, family, friends, and parish will gather at the funeral home for a scripture service at 7:00pm. Dorothy will be taken to lie in state at the church from 10:00am until the time Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Shriners Children's Hospital or The Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Dorothy was born March 21, 1930 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude and Eleanor (Bigbee) Denton. She and Robert Dinse were united in marriage on November 20, 1948 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flint, Michigan. She worked for the Beecher Community Schools for 25 years as a school secretary. She did substituting as a secretary for eight more years. Throughout her life, Dorothy loved raising four wonderful children, her beautiful flower gardens, and being with her friends, doing 5k walks, and exercising. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her children; Sandra and husband, Ronald Stanley of Flint, Dale and wife, Jackie Dinse of Monterey, Tennesee, Rick and wife, Cindy Dinse of Flint, Terry and wife, June Dinse of Mt Morris; six grandchildren, Raynell and husband, Michael Tolley, Ryan and wife, Tammy Stanley, Noelle and husband Richard Siegel, Melissa and husband, Alex Padilla, Lauren Dinse, Sabrina Sharp; five great-grandchildren, Michael Tolley, Rachel Tolley, Hunter Stanley, Jackson Stanley, Jett Siegel; sister, Barbara Denton; sister-in-laws, Joyce Auld, Jeaniene Lowell; special friends JoAnn Runyan, Jerry Henry, Joyce Montante, Cindy Coughlin, Jack and Peggy McKillop; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her angels on the medical staff. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years, her husbandAaas parents, Richard and Pearl Dinse, and sister-in-law, Maxine Thomas.
