Doris Scofield-Costello

Scofield-Costello, Doris A.\ Age 94 of Greenbush and Flint died Monday, February 26, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 5:00pm at Miles Martin Funeral Home, Rev. Fr. Thomas Firestone officiating, and private burial at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Dorisa family will be present at the Miles Martin Funeral Home to receive friends on Thursday from 1:00pm until time of service at 5:00pm. Memorial donations may be considered to the Childrenas Miracle Network, envelopes are available at the funeral home. Doris was born August 27, 1912 in Flint the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Mary (Bruce) Bowles. In 1932 Doris graduated from Flint Northern High School, she went on to attend Hurley School of Nursing, and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1935. She worked for Dr. Franklin W. Baske, retiring with 38 years of service. Doris was united in marriage to Donald King in December 1935, and he preceded her in death in December 1978. In February 1981, she married Sidney Scofield, and he preceded her in death in September of 1991. She and Francis Costello were united in marriage in January 1995, and he preceded her in death in February 2004. Doris leaves to cherish her memory: 2 brothers Richard Bowles, Brian and wife Eva Bowles, 1 sister Bette Dahlstrom, and sister in law Nina "Tootiea Bowles, 3 step children Joy Knoblock and her family, Robert and wife Doris Scofield, and their family, Patricia and husband Jed Hand, and their family, many nieces and nephews, and her dog Mitzi. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands, sister Mary "Mollya Robinson, 2 brothers, Tommy Bowles, and Bruce Bowles. \
