DONNA NELSON\ Of Vienna Township went to spend eternity with her beloved Lord on Friday, April 13, 2007. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM Rev. Tim Evans and Rev. Larry Nelson presiding. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to visit the funeral home at 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, April 16, 2007. Memorial gifts may be given to First Baptist Church memorial fund, envelopes will be supplied at the funeral home. Donna was born August 1, 1923 in Mt. Morris, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George D. and Nettie Babcock. Donna became a Christian in 1938, having asked Jesus Christ to be her personal Savior, and making Him Lord of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, having served as Deaconess, Sunday School teacher, choir member, and on several committees and boards. She was a member of the Bavarian Porcelain Artists and Michigan Porcelain. Her life revolved around her faith in Jesus, her family and her friends. Donna married Ronald B. Nelson on May 20, 1944 at Starkville, MS. She was employed as an executive secretary/accountant for 12 years, retiring in 1974. Donna is survived by her 3 children: \ Husband Ronald\ Larry and wife Cheryl of Clio; \ Diane and husband Billy Mitchell of Fairbanks, AK.;\ Carol and husband Ron Gloetzner of Tijeras, NM. \ \ Her 22 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; brother: Rev. Dr. Wendell Babcock of Grand Rapids, MI.; \ Sister Ruth and husband Bernard of Davison, MI.;\ Several nieces and nephews. \ Donna was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Duane, and sister in law Esther Babcock.\ \
