Donny Pease

Age 68, of Byron, Michigan, passed away on September 3, 2024. A Funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Donny’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm; and on Monday, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Donny was born on May 16, 1956, in Flint, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph and Leota (Murray) Pease. Educated locally, Donny attended Mt. Morris Schools until he began his career with General Motors working at the Flint Assembly Plant. From there Donny would transfer to the Lake Orion Plant retiring in 2004, after 27 years of service. He was a long-time member of UAW Local #5960. Donny was well known for his love of automobiles. In his free time, he visited the house to spend time with his family. He was best known for spending hours in the garage painting and restoring automobiles, tractors, and lawn mowers. He was an avid collector of RC cars and has a huge Lionel Train collection. Donny was also a brilliant designer and fabricator, one of his designs included a die tool adopted into production by General Motors that is used to remove components of a car without damaging the vehicle.

Left to cherish his memory are his four children: Scott and wife, Heather Pease, Stacey and husband, Joshua Klee, Jason and wife, Crystal Pease, and Donald "DJ" Pease; five grandchildren: Layna, Cole, Jace, Brennan, and Camdyn; six siblings: Aaron Pease, Gary Pease, Roy Pease, Betty Dubenion, Cheryl Dodd, Debbie Aviles; and many other family members and friends.

Donny was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings: Brenda, Joe, Jeanette, Delores, Paulette, Ronald; and his girlfriend, Lisa Derossett.
