Educated locally, Donald graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School with the Class of 1974. Donald married his high school sweetheart, Karen Woggerman, on October 17, 2013, at Crystal Gardens in Clio. Donald was a Test Mechanic for General Motors until his retirement in 2007. He loved to work on and restore old classic cars, making them faster and more comfortable, with his favorite being his 1973 Nova that he found in 2013, restored it and painted it the same color as the one he had in high school, classic orange. Donald enjoyed going to car shows and watching NASCAR, as well as attending several races. He will always remember his trip to the Daytona 500 with his beloved wife. Donald was an all-around handyman. Donald loved to be outdoors whether riding his ATV on the trails in St. Helen or boating on the Coastal waters of Florida. He also enjoyed camping at Wolverine campground because it was close to home and very nice. Donald had a love for ice cream, popsicles, and watching the history channel, football, and baseball. Donald loved his family most of all, being a playground and jungle gym for his grandchildren and just spending time with them. He will be greatly missed.
