Of Mt. Morris, age 68, died Monday, June 1, 2009 at his home. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Pastor Doug Klein will officiate with Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post #158. Cremation will follow the service. DonAaas family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris on Thursday from 10:00am to 2:00pm and again from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. On Friday morning, Don will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Family Fund.. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Donald was born September 13, 1940 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin and Luella (Buys) Glynn, Sr. He worked for General Motors for 28 years and also owned and operated a Standard Oil Station in Oscoda for many years. He was a veteran of US Army, a member of the UAW and enjoyed working on cars, boating and sports, especially U of M. He also enjoyed spending time with his Rottweilers. He loved his children and grandson dearly and will be greatly missed. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tonya Glynn, son, Todd Glynn, grandson, Landyn, brother and sister; Connie and husband Marvin Burkhardt, Jerry and wife Cynda Glynn, sister-in-law, Bev Glynn, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Franklin W. DonAaas family would like to extend a special thanks to family friends Gary and Jenny Gean.
