Age 86, of Flint, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 with family by his side. A funeral service will take place at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 14, 2025, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell to officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Donald’s family will be present to receive friends on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Friday, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to Burton Eagles Aerie #3814. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Donald Ehrhart, Jr. was born on August 28, 1938, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald and Pearl (Towns) Ehrhart, Sr. Educated locally, he graduated from Kearsley High School. Heeding his call to duty, Donald enlisted in the United States Army until his honorable discharge on July 31, 1967. Upon returning to civilian life, Donald began working as a quality control specialist with GM Buick until his well-earned retirement. Donald met, fell in love with, and married the love of his life, Sharon Lee Clark on November 12, 1977. Sadly, she preceded him in passing on October 27, 2024.
Maintaining an active social life, Donald was a longtime member of the Grand Blanc Moose #2344 and the Burton Eagles #3814. When he wasn’t at a lodge, he could be found at the lake fishing.
Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters: Dee Knack, Kimberly Fowler, Rhonda and husband, Jeff Dolby; his seven grandchildren: Arron, Sean, Douglas and wife, Christine, Crystal and husband, Kevin, Robert and wife, Sara, Lindsay, and Shelby; his great-grandchildren: Ashton, Joslynn, Landen, Ethan, Janell, Cassidy, and Jarred; his great-great-granddaughter: Aurora; as well as many other beloved family members and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife; Sharon Ehrhart; his two daughters: Linda Herriman-Diem, Monica Herriman-Cranmer; his son-in-laws: Bradley Knack, William Fowler, and Dave Cranmer; and his granddaughter: Jennifer.
