Denver Patterson

Age 82, of Prescott, Michigan, formerly of Mt. Morris, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015, surrounded by family. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp. Rev. Michael McCluskey will officiate, with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Denver’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm; and Saturday, from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Bay City Hospice. Denver was born November 5, 1933, in Campbell Missouri, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Olin and Lucy (Potter) Patterson. Denver was educated locally after high school he went on to work at General Motors where he met the love of his life Lois Koon. Denver and Lois were united in marriage on April 10, 1976, in Flint, Michigan. Denver and Lois loved to dance they were so happy together. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He spent most of his time fishing and camping all around Michigan. Left to cherish his memory are: children: Guy and wife, Margaret Patterson, Deborah and husband, Robert Alexander, Katherine and husband, Robert Ford, Christopher and wife, Lisa Roth, Sherry and husband, Jim Everson, Sue and husband, Ralph Oliver, Kim Patterson; 11 grandchildren: Guy Jr, Robert, Bobby, Ashley, Tina, Heather, Michelle, Joshua, Nicole, Mikisha, and Melissa; 11 great-grandchild and two special great grandchildren Andrea and Madeyln; brother Darrell and wife, Linda Patterson; many nieces and nephews. Denver was preceded in death by his wife of 41 year’s Lois Patterson; parents; son Michael Patterson; sister Shirley Durall, Dorris and husband James Moore; brother Junior Patterson; special nephew Wade Moore.
