Dennis "Denny" Harburn

January 27, 1952 — November 12, 2017

Age 65, of Mount Morris, died Sunday, November 12, 2017, at home. In accordance with Dennis’ wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Grace Presbyterian Church, located at 1084 N. Irish Rd., Davison, Michigan, 48423. Reverend Hal Polk will officiate. Dennis was born in Flint, Michigan, on January 27, 1952, to Mr. & Mrs. Harold George and Margaret Ellen (McGuffin) Harburn. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1970. Dennis was drafted into the United States Army where he was honorably discharged in 1974. Dennis went to trade school for two years, building his skills in Electrical work. He worked for Arrow Flint Electric for over 20 years. Dennis liked to watch sports to include the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Pistons and the University of Michigan. He loved spending his time with his family. Dennis would visit his mother faithfully while she is in the assisted living. Dennis is survived by his mother: Margaret; two children: Damien Harburn and Significant other Michelle Hogan of Cleveland, Ohio, Kerry Harburn and Significant other Jason Shanks from Flushing, Michigan; one stepson: Charles and wife Tammy O’Leary of Flushing, Michigan; brother: George and wife Christy Harburn of Grand Rapids, Michigan; sister: Kathryn and husband Larry Bieling of Mt. Morris, Michigan; three grandchildren: Emily Mae Harburn, Hannah and Adam O’Leary. He was preceded in death by his father Harold and brother Charles.
