Of Clio, age 59, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the familyAaas cottage. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dale Lewis will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. DarrelAaas family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Wednesday, from 1:00pm to 9:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, or to Crow Leo R. VFW Post # 8236. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Darrel "Shorty" was born November 12, 1950 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil and Doris (Chambers) Nolff. He and Ann Louise Switalski were united in marriage May 6, 1972 in Flint. Darrel proudly served in the United States Army for two years before receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1971. He worked for Buick for 32 years, retiring in 2000, was a member of Crow Leo R. VFW Post # 8236 and UAW Local #599. Darrel loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, golfing, traveling up north to the family cottage, cooking, and listening to oldies music. Darrel leaves to cherish his memory wife of 38 years, Ann; son, Jasen (Kristina) Nolff, and their two children; Zachary and Mia Nolff; daughter, Jana Nolff; nine siblings; Sandra (Frank) Hindbaugh, Cecil "Bud" Jr. (Cheryl) Nolff, Marilyn (Fred) Ruhala, Buz (Susan) Nolff, Allen (Cindy) Nolff, Marty (Peggy) Nolff, Darba (Gary) Dye, Carol (Rod) Wigginton, and Jill (Pat) Groulx and several nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Darrel was preceded in death by his father, Cecil, Sr.
