Dallas “Dutch” was born in Flint on October 21, 1933, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton and Blanche (Hays) Konoski. Educated locally, Dutch graduated from Flint Northern High School with the Class of 1951. Heeding the call to serve his country, Dutch proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving as a Specialist 3rd Class Technician from April 5, 1956, until his honorable discharge on March 8, 1958. Dutch met and married the love of his life, Mary Isaac, in November 1955. Together they shared 61 wonderful years. Sadly, she preceded him in death on December 2, 2016. Dutch worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company as a cable splicer supervisor until his retirement in the late 1990s. Together with his wife, Mary, they also owned and operated D&M Ceramics in Mt. Morris until 1984. Community involvement was important to Dutch. He was an active member of many organizations such as the Moose Lodge #1437 in Flushing, Auto City Eagles, Polish Legion of American Veterans, and VFW Post #8326. Dutch enjoyed staying busy. After he got home from his day job, he would spend most of his time working out in his garage, fixing lawnmowers for the neighbors, or tinkering on a project. He was a jack-of-all-trades and could fix anything. He was known for always having a tool in his hands. In his free time, Dutch enjoyed hunting with his brother in Chesaning, going for rides, watching U of M football, police dramas, and Parking-lot Wars. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish Dutch's memory are his daughter, Dena McCullough; son, James McCullough; grandchildren: Lisa McCullough and John McCullough; great-grandchildren: Sophia, Donovan, and Madison; best friends: Dennis and Cheryl Parish; nephew, Benny and niece, Aubrey; good friend, Perry Frieburger.

Dutch was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary; his parents; and siblings: Mary, Ben, Donald, Clayton.
